I have never been to Sicily in September. Usually, I come “off-season” in March for the St Joseph’s day celebrations , in May, just before the tourist season starts or in Fall when the new oil is being pressed.
This trip has been so incredible. We saw the salt being harvested at the salt flats. The Florio Museum was open at Favigana. Different fish were available.
Sicily never fails to surprise me.
We were really lucky and missed a day of flash flooding down in Menfi, where we stay.
Today my clients leave and friends arrive. We will stay in Trapani and return to Favignana, who doesn’t love a boat ride? I hear the cuscus festival is about to begin in San Vito al Capo and then back to Palermo.
After Palermo we will train over to Catania and fly out from there.
I have been coming to Sicily for 8 years now and am gathering my favorite places together for an app on my favorite places to visit, food and wine of course and friends. A great tour is always about the people you meet and I want to share my friends with you.
