Simply FABULOUS

I have just returned to my computer from the hills of Chianti, Kate is off to discover what the Adriatic has to offer on her way to her grandfather’s home town in Abruzzo.

I will let you sneak a peak at what we created during our week of wood burning oven workshops.

Roasting, grilling, baking and more.

Damn, that’s an incredible looking piece of meat. Did it taste as good as it looks?

It is hard to believe how incredible the meat was!
Dario is a master butcher, and had selected the best.

This huge piece of meat, 2,700 kilo’s ( almost 6 pounds of beef) was left at room temp after we bought it, and cooked for 6 minutes on top and bottom, then 4 minutes on it’s side!
Let it rest for 10 minutes and serve!
    BUTTAH!!!

So THIS is where Kate Hill has escaped to! She’s been gone from her blog for so long we thought the boat had sunk. Come back to us Kate!

But glad you had a good time in Chianti. Yum.

That steak looks fabulous! Next time we are in Florence, I want some…hopefully next year.

Judy Witts Francini

Originally from California; Tuscany has been my home since 1984. I found the city of Florence to hold all my passions, food, wine, art all in one place. When I am not in Tuscany, I am often found in Sicily, my other favorite place to be. Always searching for recipes to share and exploring for the guides I write to my favorite cities for food and wine.
