We are in Sicily, my home away from home for a coast-to-coast tour. March 19th is the festival of San Giuseppe, St Joseph, so it is also Father’s day. But the San Giuseppe has a huge religious cult following and I adore any festival which has food involved.
We are starting the tour in Catania, to take advantage of the long trip over for my guests to Sicily. On this side of the Island there is so much to see and do, but we can only really touch the surface. From here we tour Modica for chocolate, Ortygia to be at the sea, we visited Noto a lovely baroque village for the passegiata in the evening, lovely lit at night. Today we are off to Etna, seeing Bronte in the morning, then up the volcano, hopefully, there is SNOW! We have an afternoon cooking class our menu is covering the various influences in the Sicilian Cuisine! I can’t wait.
Follow me on FB, I am already maxed out on “Friends” but you can hit the follow button. I am also on Instagram, divinacucina.
Enjoy, I will catch up when we arrive in Menfi our base for the festival.
