Gifts from the Farm

May 25, 2011 by Divina Cucina

Sometimes it is the little things that make a big difference. At the Saturday market, my vegetable vendor gifted me with these lovely eggs from her mom that lives in Old Certaldo and some tiny new zucchini with their blossoms.

Inspiration for lunch- Zucchini Carbonara!

Mille Grazie Francesca e Erica!

My mother in law always said to spend more time shopping and less time cooking.
When you have the best ingredients to work with— the less you do the better the dish!

just talking about zucchini (or courgette) flowers this morning and remembering some gorgeous ones we had in Tuscany last summer. No chance of getting them in UK yet! Looking forward to deep frying them in tempura batter when they do emerge from my veg patch! Love your blog.

I love your mother-in-law’s philosophy. You can always smooth over poor technique but there is nothing in the world that will compensate for an ingredient that is not at its prime.

I find that nice fonts can be very good for small curved lines around the shapes of the body.
